BCL WWTP 01
Nitrification support in municipal WWTPs
Active microbial cultures to support ammonia oxidation and restore nitrification in municipal wastewater plants.
What it solves
Nitrifying bacteria, which convert ammonia, grow slowly and are sensitive to fluctuations. Nitrification therefore collapses easily and takes a long time to recover. Ammonia in the effluent then harms fish and the plant exceeds its limits.
Intended use
- Municipal WWTP
When it is used
- WWTP start-up
- Re-seeding
- Low sludge age
- Recovery after shock loading
- Ammonia overload

Dosage and implementation
We design the dosage for the specific facility. It usually starts with initial seeding followed by regular maintenance doses. For a proposal we need to know the type of technology, volume or flow and the main problem.
- You describe the facility and the problem you are dealing with.
- We propose the product and the dosing regime.
- We deliver the product and advise you during implementation.
What to consider before use
- Converting ammonia does not by itself remove total nitrogen. Denitrification is also needed for that.
- Requires suitable conditions for nitrification, control of inhibiting substances and chilled transport.
We deliver this product to your country with a label in your language, also under your own brand. Packaging and delivery terms will be specified in our offer.
