Sulphides and related odour in industrial wastewater

Microbial product to support the treatment of sulphides and related odour in industrial wastewater.

Type: Microbial productForm: Powder on a cereal carrier

What it solves

Hydrogen sulphide (H₂S) forms wherever wastewater is held for a long time without oxygen. It smells of rotten eggs, bothers the neighbourhood, turns water and sludge black and converts to sulphuric acid, which attacks pipes. It also inhibits nitrification and is a danger to staff in sumps.

Intended use

  • Industrial WWTPs

When it is used

  • Odour from primary and secondary sludge
  • Hydrogen sulphide with long wastewater retention
  • Substances inhibiting nitrification
  • Seeding of biofilters and gas scrubbers
  • Hydrogen sulphide build-up in enclosed spaces

Dosage and implementation

We design the dosage for the specific facility. It usually starts with initial seeding followed by regular maintenance doses. For a proposal we need to know the type of technology, volume or flow and the main problem.

  1. You describe the facility and the problem you are dealing with.
  2. We propose the product and the dosing regime.
  3. We deliver the product and advise you during implementation.

What to consider before use

  • We will assess suitability and dosage for your specific facility.
  • Treatment does not replace hydrogen sulphide monitoring or safety measures when working in sumps.

We deliver this product to your country with a label in your language, also under your own brand. Packaging and delivery terms will be specified in our offer.
